​​​​​Dr. Zaina Al-Mohtaseb is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon, specializing in cataract, LASIK, and cornea surgery. 
 
She earned her medical degree with honors from Baylor College of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at the Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor where she was elected Chief Resident. She then finished her training and fellowship in cornea/external disease, cataract and refractive surgery at the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Dr. Al-Mohtaseb is a key opinion leader in ophthalmology and an adopter of new surgical techniques and ophthalmic technologies. She has authored multiple scientific publications and presents numerous lectures nationally and internationally. She has a clinical Associate Professor appointment at Baylor College of Medicine and was the previous Associate Program Director of Residency. She leads continued clinical research initiatives at Whitsett Vision Group as the Director of Research.

She is recognized as an expert in complex vision correction surgery and performs the full spectrum of procedures including cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK and ICL, presbyopia correction, DSEK and DMEK, collagen cross-Linking, and IOL exchanges.

She is an active member of numerous ophthalmic societies and is the Chair of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Young Eye Surgeon committee which serves to educate young surgeons nationally and internationally through lectures, webinars, and wet labs. She has also won a magnitude of prestigious awards such as “Top Doctors” in Houston, the BCM Women of Excellence Award & Excellence in Patient Care, the National Award Outstanding Leader in Ophthalmology, the National Award Rising Star in Ophthalmology, the national AAO Achievement Award, and features on the International Ophthalmology’s Power List – Top 100 Ophthalmologists and Ophthalmology Management’s National Top 40 Under 40 award.

​​​​​Dr. Joshua A. Atkinson graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and a Certi­fication in Computer Programming. He then attended McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston where he received his Doctor of Medicine in the Neuroscience Scholarly Program. Dr. Atkinson completed his ophthalmology residency program at West Virginia University Eye Institute as the Chief Resident.
 
During his time at The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Atkinson was chosen to lead several research studies and was also awarded the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Research Grant for his research. Dr. Atkinson has presented his research at various national ophthalmology conferences and has published numerous articles in medical journals. Dr. Atkinson is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
 
In his spare time, Dr. Atkinson enjoys cooking, brewing, and snow skiing. He also plays the guitar, piano, and trumpet.

​​​​​Dr. Baptiste Dejean is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, cataract, and LASIK/refractive surgery. Dr. Dejean attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology through The University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, before going on to complete his fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/Houston Eye Associates Connor Glaucoma Center for Glaucoma/Anterior Segment Surgery.
 
Dr. Dejean performs many laser vision surgeries including custom blade-free LASIK, laser cataract surgeries, many eyelid surgeries, and multiple glaucoma surgeries including laser and minimally-invasive iStent, Xen, and Hydrus. He is certified on the AMO VISX Excimer, IntraLase, and IFS Laser System, as well as the Alcon Allegretto and FS-200 Laser Systems. He is also trained on the LensX Cataract Laser System, Light Adjustable Lens, astigmatism correcting intraocular lens and multifocal intraocular lens platforms for premium cataract surgery. Dr. Dejean is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology.
 
Baptiste was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up along the Louisiana and Texas gulf coast. His hobbies include fishing, traveling, and astronomy.

​​​​​Dr. Dvorak is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, LASIK/refractive surgery and medical treatment of the retina.  Dr. Dvorak attended medical school at Chicago Medical School / Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.  He completed his internal medicine internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, and worked as a US Naval Flight Surgeon.  He went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at University of Florida.

Dr. Dvorak performs many laser vision surgeries including femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, micro-invasive iStent surgery, and bladeless LASIK. He is certified on the on the AMO VISX Excimer, IntraLase, and IFS Laser System, as well as the Alcon Allegretto and FS-200 Laser Systems, LensX Cataract Laser System + ORA, and specializes in Toric and multifocal lenses. Dr. Dvorak is certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology and performs surgery at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Conroe and Huntsville Memorial Hospital.

Andrew grew up in Illinois, “the Prairie State”.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, and outdoor hobbies such as cycling, skiing, and Wakeboarding.

​​​​​Susan K. Fish, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, comprehensive ophthalmology, and cosmetic ophthalmology. She received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York and completed her internship and residency at Baylor University College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Fish is certified to perform procedures on the VISX and Technolas excimer lasers and the IntraLase FS laser. She is also certified and offers CustomVue Wavefront Technology to qualified candidates. For those who do not qualify for laser vision correction, Dr. Fish offers the most advanced technologies in cataract surgery including multi-focal lens implants such as ReSTOR and Tecnis and astigmatism-correcting toric intraocular lenses.

Dr. Fish specializes in cosmetic ophthalmology including Botox, Juvederm, and Latisse. She is a Brilliant Distinctions participating doctor.

Dr. Fish is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Houston Ophthalmological Society, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Ophthalmological Association, the Montgomery County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Fish received her B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. She enjoys running, tap dancing, and classical and jazz piano. She resides with her two children in The Woodlands, Texas.

​​​​​Jonathan Jan, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon, and refractive surgeon. He was awarded his medical degree at Texas A&M University and completed his internship as well as a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Florida. He also completed his fellowship in Cataract, Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern. He is renowned for providing thorough medical care for the treatment of a host of conditions, which include, cataract, eye infections, corneal diseases and LASIK surgery. Warm and welcoming, Dr. Jan is an experienced ophthalmologist treating a wide spectrum of specialized needs. He is skilled at building close relationships with his patients.

​​​​​Dr. Linda Lin is a board-certified ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon, and glaucoma specialist. Dr. Lin was accepted into the prestigious 7-year Honors Program in Medical Education, a combined BA/MD program, at Northwestern University, directly from high school. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University/Ochsner Program in New Orleans. Dr. Lin trained with world-renowned glaucoma expert, Dr. Gregory Skuta, for her glaucoma fellowship at Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City.

Dr. Lin performs laser-assisted cataract surgery with premium lens implants (Toric, multifocal, EDOF, and LAL), minimally-invasive glaucoma surgeries (Omni surgical system and Xen 45 gel stent), and traditional glaucoma surgeries (trabeculectomies and glaucoma drainage devices). She is trained on the LenSx Cataract Laser System + ORA and the RxSight light adjustable lens. 

Dr. Lin grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast raised in Port Lavaca, TX, “Home of the Fighting Sandcrabs.” In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

​​​​​Dr. Jesse B. McKey is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon. He provides custom cataract, LASIK, and vision correction surgeries.

After receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Michigan, Dr. McKey completed his residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Center in Philadelphia, one of the top ophthalmology training programs in the United States.

Dr. McKey has a strong commitment to improving eye care through research and innovation and is a member of the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

​​​​​Dr. Tom H. Sun is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been in practice in Texas since 1994. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Texas Medical Association, and the Harris County Medical Association.

Dr. Sun was born in Taiwan and moved to Thailand at age 5. He spent six years in Thailand and then came to the United States at age 11. He finished his primary school years in New Jersey, where he graduated Valedictorian of his high school class. He went to college on a full academic scholarship at the Cooper Union School of Engineering in New York City, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He returned to New Jersey for his medical degree at University of Medicine and Dentistry of N.J., Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency in New York at Nassau County Medical Center and Stony Brook University Hospital.

Dr. Sun's guiding philosophy throughout his career is a simple one: treat your patients like you would like to be treated.

Dr. Sun is happily married to his wife Jean. They have 2 children, Kevin and Francesca, both of whom attended The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Sun's hobbies include exercise, travel, golf, and lifelong learning about medicine, history, and philosophy.

​​​​​Dr. Jeffrey Whitsett is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cataract and refractive surgeon. In the more than two decades since he founded the practice, Whitsett Vision Group has become recognized as a world-class surgery practice, an innovator in the field of ophthalmology, and a renowned clinical research center, becoming one of the country’s most sought-after clinical trial sites for new intraocular lenses.

After receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Whitsett completed his residency at the school’s Dean A. McGee Eye Institute. He then accepted a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

Dr. Whitsett is a certified physician with the American Board of Ophthalmology and has served on its Practicing Ophthalmologists Advisory Committee on Education. He is a member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
