Dr. Baptiste Dejean is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, cataract, and LASIK/refractive surgery. Dr. Dejean attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology through The University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, before going on to complete his fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/Houston Eye Associates Connor Glaucoma Center for Glaucoma/Anterior Segment Surgery.
Dr. Dejean performs many laser vision surgeries including custom blade-free LASIK, laser cataract surgeries, many eyelid surgeries, and multiple glaucoma surgeries including laser and minimally-invasive iStent, Xen, and Hydrus. He is certified on the AMO VISX Excimer, IntraLase, and IFS Laser System, as well as the Alcon Allegretto and FS-200 Laser Systems. He is also trained on the LensX Cataract Laser System, Light Adjustable Lens, astigmatism correcting intraocular lens and multifocal intraocular lens platforms for premium cataract surgery. Dr. Dejean is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Baptiste was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up along the Louisiana and Texas gulf coast. His hobbies include fishing, traveling, and astronomy.
